The Syrian films “Blood of the Palm” and “Damascus-Aleppo” screened in Japan

Within the framework of cooperation between the Syrian Embassy in Japan and the Kuma Association for Cultural Exchange and Japanese Heritage, the Syrian Films “the Blood of the Palm” and “Damascus-Aleppo” films were screened within a cultural event in the Japanese city of Kyoto. The two films were translated into the Japanese language.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy Muhammad Najib Elji affirmed in a speech during the event that screening the two films in Kyoto after they were shown in Tokyo at the end of last year is a new opportunity to introduce the Japanese people to Syrian art on the one hand, and to explain the suffering of the Syrians as a result of terrorist practices which included killing acts and destroying infrastructure and antiquities, etc..and to clarify the impact of unilateral Western coercive measures and the theft of Syrian resources on the living condotions of the Syrians.

In turn, Keiko Kuma, Director of the Association, expressed her deep sorrow over what Syria was exposed to, and her love for Syria and its good people.
