UNRWA: Gaza faces the risk of losing an entire generation of children as a result of the Israeli aggression

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA” warned that the Gaza Strip faces the risk of losing an entire generation of children as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression since the seventh of last October.

WAFA Agency quoted the director of media and communication at UNRWA Juliet Touma as saying in her account on the ” X ” platform:” the Gaza Strip is on the threshold of losing a whole generation of children if this war continues, “explaining that more than”600 thousand children in Gaza have not been able to go to school since the war began.

Touma pointed to the closure of a large number of schools and the transformation of “UNRWA” schools into shelters for the displaced, stressing that the time when children miss school will make it difficult to avoid their losses in education.

The UN official called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the sake of these children.
