Kanaani: NATO’s allegations about Iranian military support for Russia in the Ukrainian war are rejected

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani confirmed today that his country rejects the allegations contained in the final statement of the NATO summit in Washington about sending military supplies to Russia in the Ukrainian war, considering these allegations “far from truth and with unacceptable political goals.”
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Kanaani as saying in a statement today: “What Ukraine is witnessing is the result of the provocative policies and actions of NATO,  mainly the U.S,, which is still continuing its actions,” explaining that “any attempts aimed at linking the Ukrainian war to bilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia are based on tendentious political nature aimed at legitimizing interventions and the continued flow of Western military aid to Ukraine.”
Kanaani pointed out that Tehran’s strategy is always based on working towards strengthening the constructive role that encourages stability and establishing sustainable security in the region and the world, and this applies to ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
