U-18 boxing team to participate in WBC in Bulgaria

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The U-18 national boxing team are set to leave soon for Bulgaria to take part In The u-18 World Boxing Championship .

The event is due to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on April 10.

During their stay in Bulgaria ,the national team will hold a training camp during which they will play some friendlies with outstanding boxers from several countries.

Before leaving for Bulgaria, the national team held an-indoor training camp at the Faiha sports complex in Damascus.

The boxers, who are involved in  the said camp, received intensive training sessions where the team’s coach focused on raising the physical fitness and developing some tactics  on the boxing mat.

It is to be noted that Tony Attala(above 91 kg);Ahmad Ghusun (60 kg) and SamerBairak (90) kg ) took a medal each in the U-18 Asia Boxing Championship which was staged in Thailand last January.
