President Al-Assad and his Iranian counterpart discuss enhancing bilateral relations

President Bashar Al-Assad
and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations between Syria and Iran in all fields.

During a phone conversation, President Al-Assad stressed that the relation between Syria and Iran is based on mutual respect, principles, and the option of resistance against hegemony in the region that is targeted by historical colonial aspirations.

For his part, President Pezeshkian affirmed his country’s firm support for Syria and the resistance, noting the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and implementing the signed agreements to serve the interest of the two countries.
