In its 44th session… Various products at the International Flower Exhibition in Damascus

A number of beekeepers and artists are participating in the International Flower exhibition currently being held at Tishreen Park in Damascus, where they found it an opportunity to introduce and sell their products.

The beekeeper Rida Ali Deeb from the old city of Damascus talked about his honey products and his participation in the exhibition, as it is his 30th participation in a row.

“We make beehive products such as shampoo and soap, as honey is a main compound in them along with oils. We also make creams with honey, natural oils, and herbs to clean and purify the skin. In addition, we have food products such as kleija, honey candies with propolis, ginger, and pollen to stimulate the appetite”, Deeb said.

He stressed that the turnout of people this year is very good, as it is the tourism season from most Arab countries such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon.

Judy Al-Rifai and Muhammad Al-Zaybak indicated that they found the exhibition an opportunity to work, as they display and market honey products for the beehives of the Yarmouk Valley region with natural pastures in Daraa Governorate.

They noted that their products ranked second in the Honey Festival held at Tishreen Stadium last year, and the quest continues to obtain first place.

As for their part, Ajaj Wood Group stressed that this is their 5th participation in the International Flower Exhibition in a row as they make boxes, wooden swings, and bee hives.

In turn, Majd Al-Kaidie, who is an artist, indicated that this is his first participation in such an exhibition, adding: “When I heard about the Flower exhibition I thought it may be a good idea to participate and it was. I do not sell any paintings here but instead I draw on the children’s faces using water colors.”

It is noteworthy that the exhibition’ activities continue to the 14th of July.
