A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said: The Syrian Arab Republic highly appreciates the Republic of Armenia’s recognition of the State of Palestine. The statement added: Syria affirms that this courageous decision contributes to restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian Arab people, and pushes towards achieving their legitimate aspirations to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement continued: The Syrian Arab Republic calls on the international community to take urgent steps to end the Israeli occupation and enable the Palestinian people to achieve their inalienable rights.
