China renews its calling on the United States to stop plundering Syrian resources

Beijing (ST) – China renewed its call on the United States to stop plundering the Syrian national resources and take concrete measures to compensate for the harm caused to the Syrian people as a result.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said in a press conference today: “Syria was a wheat exporting country, but currently about 55% of its population faces food insecurity, and the United States bears responsibility for this and it cannot be shied away from.”

“The facts have shown that Washington is planning to plunder resources under the guise of fighting terrorism. It talks about human rights all the time, but it violates the right to survival and the right to life of the people of other countries. It claims to be defending democracy, freedom and prosperity, while in reality it is constantly creating humanitarian crises”, Ning added.

Ning called on the United States to seriously respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, immediately end its illegal military presence there and stop plundering Syrian national resources.
