FM Statement: No weight to statements by US for the Syrian people, who are solely responsible for the future of their homeland
DAMASCUS,(ST)_ An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the U.S. administration and its regional and international tools pursue a world- dominating policy, humiliation of peoples and controlling l their resources and that in this context, the US is launching a fierce campaign against Syria through its involvement in the internal affairs of the Syrian people, attempts to confiscate the Syria national decision, in an attempt to justify the U.S. administration support for its tools of terrorists and insurgents and providing them with fatal and non- fatal equipment, resulted in the spread of terrorism in the region and the world, the destruction of the Syrian people infrastructure and economic achievements and destabilization of world peace and security.
The source added in a statement to SANA, today, that in order to justify the failure of the U.S. and Western policy to undermine Syria, thanks to the steadfastness of its people against the declared global war, the U.S. State Department tried to sabotage Geneva Conference and harm the Geneva 1 statement, which stipulates the responsibility of all parties without an exception to preserve and sustain the state ‘s institutions, as a clear text in the Political Declaration in the ground of which Geneva Conference was launched.
The source said that in their campaign against Syria, the US officials are using an obscene language, which does not comply with the diplomatic discourse and public morals as stated in remarks, made spokeswoman for the U.S. State Marie Harff on 14 -3-2014.
The Syrian source continued, that the U.S. foreign policy and its spokespersons implicated the American people in problems with the countries of the world, especially with developing countries, and also distorted the image of the United States itself.
