Tunisia:  October 6 date for the Presidential elections

Tunisian President Kais Saied issued a decision calling on the Tunisian voters to participate in the presidential elections on October 6, 2024.

The Tunisian presidency stated that  President Saied issued this decision, calling for preparations for holding elections and organizing the necessary procedures for their implementation.

The Independent High Authority for Elections in Tunisia said: The presidential elections are expected to be held in the last quarter of the current year. Previously, the Tunisian President confirmed that all electoral dates have been respected, from the date of the referendum to the date of the election of members of the Assembly of People’s Representatives and the local council elections, and that all upcoming elections will be held on time, including the presidential elections.
