NEWYORK,(ST)_ Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar Jaafari, stressed that the Syrian government has always been keen to fight terrorism, everywhere, with the mission to protect the Syrian people, noting threat posed by terrorist groups in Syria, infiltrated through its borders with neighboring countries.
Jaafari added at a news conference yesterday after Lakhdar Brahimi, the UN envoy to Syria, briefed the Security Council about the two rounds of Geneva talks, that finally delegates at the UN Security Council admitted the existence of terrorism in Syria and the facts on the ground after being ignored deliberately because their governments have played a role a key role in inciting terrorism in Syria.
