United Nations: The occupation’s unleashing of dogs against Palestinian detainees is a serious violation of international law

The United Nations has confirmed that the use of dogs by the Israeli occupation forces to attack Palestinian detainees constitutes a serious violation of international law.

Wafa Agency quoted the spokesman for the United Nations Human Rights Office, Jeremy Lawrence, as saying: “Inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment is strictly prohibited under international human rights law with regard to the rights of the individual to life and health, and “Israel” has also violated this human right.”

Regarding the occupation soldiers tying an injured Palestinian in front of a military vehicle and using him as a human shield in the city of Jenin in the West Bank, Lawrence explained that using a Palestinian as a human shield on a military vehicle is another example of the illegal actions carried out by the occupation army.

On June 22, the occupation forces stormed the Jabriyat area in the city of Jenin in the West Bank, and beat up 3 young men, tied one of them to the front of a military vehicle and used him as a human shield.
