Deputy FM: Syria, Democratic Korea Share Honor of Fighting Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Faysal al-Mikdad, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, thanked Democratic Korea and all freedom-loving peoples for supporting Syria in its confrontation of the terrorist aggression which has been backed by countries claiming they are against terrorism whereas they are actually financing and arming terrorists and defending them at international forums.

Mikdad was speaking during a farewell ceremony held in honor of Democratic Korea’s Ambassador in Damascus Choe Su Hon marking the end of his mission in the country.

The deputy minister affirmed the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Democratic Korea, stressing that both countries share the honor of fighting terrorism and rejecting dictates.

He pointed out that the two countries views have been identical on different issues and on steadfastness against the aggressive plans of the US and its tools in the West.

For his part, Ambassador Choe Su Hon described Syria-Democratic Korea ties as very good, stressing that they will grow stronger under the two leaderships of presidents Kim Yong Un and Bashar Al-Assad.

He stressed that the Korean government and people are confident that that the Syrian people will defeat terrorism.
