Eliminating 7 terrorists east of Salah Al Dein governorate in Iraq

The Joint Operation Command in Iraq announced that they eliminated 7 terrorists by bombing their hideouts in the Balkana Mountains, east of Salah al-Din Governorate, in the center of the country.

Al-Sumaria News website quoted the command as saying in a statement: “The Iraqi National Intelligence Service, in conjunction with the Counter-Terrorism Service, carried out a qualitative operation based on accurate information and the activation of the intelligence effort with the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command in the Balkana Mountains in the Tuz Khurmatu district within the eastern Salah al-Din operations sector”.

The statement added: “During the operation, a terrorist cell was besieged within this sector and two air strikes were carried out by F-16 aircrafts, which led to the death of all members of the cell, the number of whose members is estimated according to preliminary information to be 7 terrorists, including a dangerous leader”.
