Endowments Minister: Eid Al-Adha symbolizes sacrifice and patience

DAMASCUS, JUN.15, (ST)- The Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) , Dr. Muhammad Abdel Sattar Al-Sayyid, has confirmed that the blessed Eid Al-Adha symbolizes sacrifice and patience, and  it deepens inside us the sincere belief to offer what is dear and precious for the sake of the homeland and the dignity of the nation.

Al-Sayyed said in a televised speech today: “The Arab and Islamic nations celebrate the blessed Eid Al-Adha in honor of the Haj ritual.  On this day, our Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) stood as a preacher to the nation and the generations, laying out the general principles of Islam and human rights to be principles for all times.”

He congratulated President Bashar al-Assad, in his name and in the name of the scholars, leaders of religious rituals, and workers in the Ministry of Endowments on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha

The Minister Al-Sayyid concluded his speech by  praying for  the soul of martyrs, who were defending the homeland in the face of the most powerful forces that support terrorism and wreak havoc in our blessed land, to rest in peace.
