OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, JUN.15, (ST)- — A 16-year-old child was shot dead and two other people were injured by live ammunition this evening, including one seriously, during an incursion by Israeli occupation forces into the town of Beit Furik, located east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Health identified the child killed as Abdul Rahman Sultan Khatatba, a resident of Beit Furik.
Local sources reported that the Israeli forces stormed the town, firing live bullets at local residents, resulting in three injuries. One of the injured was shot in the chest, with his condition described as serious.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its teams in Nablus treated three individuals with gunshot wounds, including one critically injured with a chest wound.
The Red Crescent added that the Israeli occupation forces attacked the Beit Furik Municipality’s ambulance driver and smashed the vehicle’s windows while he was trying to reach the injured in the town.
The two others injured are a 45-year-old man who was shot in the thigh, and a 16-year-old boy was also shot in the thigh. All injured individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Moreover, this evening, Israeli occupation forces launched artillery strikes on several areas in the southwest of Gaza City.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli naval vessels bombarded areas in Tel al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin neighborhoods, southwest of Gaza City, while Israeli military vehicles opened heavy gunfire targeting the same areas.
The correspondent added that Israeli warplanes conducted extensive and low-altitude flights over Gaza City, creating an atmosphere of heightened tension and fear among the residents.
Since the start of the all-out Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people on October 7, 2023, a total of 547 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, with 134 children among the dead. Over 5,200 others have been injured.
