Re- activating the Syrian Company of Tourism

DAMASCUS, (ST) -The Minister of Tourism Eng. Bisher Yazigi recently underlined the need to re- activate the role of the Syrian Company of Tourism to be the economic arm of the Ministry and take advantage of its fleet in the transportation and tourism investment in cooperation with the private airlines .

During his tour at the company’s headquarters, the minister pointed to the ministry’s intention to ensure the necessary funding after a feasibility study for the reconstruction of 18 buses of the stalled transport fleet in the company to be invested in the ministry and public entities.

 “A study is being prepared for the investment of an area estimated at 80 thousand square meters of the land of the company to be put up for investment business,” the minister added.

The company extends an area of 153 thousand square meters, a joint stock company owned by the state by 99 percent and includes 120 buses, including 25 new one as the company has big warehouses containing spare parts and equipment for maintenance.
