Dozens of Palestinians take part In  solidary stands with prisoners in Zionist jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, JUN.11, (ST)- Dozens of Palestinians participated today in two solidarity stands in the cities of Nablus and Jenin in the West Bank in support of the prisoners in the jails of the Israeli occupation, who face aggressive and oppressive practices against them, especially since the beginning of the aggression against the Gaza Strip on the 7th  of last October.

Wafa Agency reported that participants in the two stands raised Palestinian flags and pictures of a number of prisoners, denouncing the crimes of the occupation and stressing the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the issue of prisoners, especially those arrested by the occupation from the Gaza Strip and against whom the crime of enforced disappearance is committed, as no information is available about their fate.

Nasr Abu Jaish, representative of the National Forces in Nablus, declared that what the prisoners are exposed to is a war crime, and the international community must take action to stop it, hold its perpetrators accountable and implement UN resolutions and realize the aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.

For his part, the director of the Commission for the Affairs of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners in Jenin, Sayyaf Abu Saif, called for the urgent formation of an international human rights committee in order to visit the occupation jails, to see the conditions in which the prisoners live, and expose the violations they are subjected to.

He called on the international bodies concerned with prisoners’ affairs to pressure the occupation to stop its violations.
