Gaza Media Office calls on international community to stop occupation crimes against shelter centers

The media office in Gaza called on the international community to stop the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against the shelter centers that are full of displaced Palestinians in the stricken Gaza Strip.

The office stressed in a statement today that the systematic bombing of the crowded shelter centers for displaced people is clear evidence of the occupation’s indifference to any protection imposed by the rules of international humanitarian law for these centers . It also condemned the targeting by the occupying forces of an UNRWA school sheltering displaced people in the al-Shatti camp west of Gaza City, one day after the massacre committed against another UN agency School in Nuseirat camp in the middle of the Strip.

The Office indicated that the displaced persons’ school targeted by the occupation today is one of the 150 shelters housing displaced persons that it  bombed through rockets or tank and artillery shells in a brutal and systematic targeting of tens of thousands of Palestinians.

The office stressed that the United States is a partner of the Israeli occupation in the war crimes committed against the people of the stricken Strip, calling on the International Criminal Court to take a practical legal measure towards these crimes and the International Court of justice to issue a judicial ruling to stop this aggression and condemn the occupation and its officials for all crimes committed since the beginning of the aggression.
