Kuala Lumpur – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said ending the three-year old crisis in Syria calls for devising a political solution, IRNA reported.
Addressing a gathering in Jakarta on Friday before ending his visit to Indonesia, Zarif stressed that no military intervention could help solve the crisis in Syria.
The foreign minister underlined that nobody outside Syria could ever force the nation to choose who and how should lead the country.
Outlining Iran’s policies on Syria, Zarif said Tehran acted on the view that only the Syrian people is to make decisions about its future and other countries have no right to decide on their behalf.
