President Al-Assad: achieving reconciliation in parallel with combating terrorism
DAMASCUS, (ST)_ H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad, the Regional Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) underscored that the power of the Party lies in its natural belonging to Arabism. Islam as well as in its encountering of anti-nationalism schemes.
In a Party meeting Saturday, the 51st Anniversary of the BASP March8, 1963 Revolution, H.E. President Al-Assad added that the clarity of vision for the Syrians and the exposure of the conspiracy provide a dialogue environment to the BASP as to redouble the efforts of the State in achieving reconciliation in parallel with combating terrorism.
H.E. President Al-Assad underscored the role of the BASP members in building the Syrian State, encountering extremist thinking, terrorism as well as in combating corruption and helping to solve the daily problems of citizens.
Earlier, H.E. President Al-Assad pointed out to the challenge represented in the capability of the BASP in competing with other parties on the building and construction of the country, calling for alliances with political forces in Syria, when the efforts of the leadership are concentrated on bolstering alliances with friendly countries like Russia, Iran, China and Arab Parties similar to BASP in orientation and thinking.
