Minsk (ST) – The Syrian Embassy in Belarus participated in the international charity festival “The Magic of Childhood”, which was organized by the Minsk Diplomatic Club for foreign ambassadors, diplomats and representatives at the Central Children’s Park in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, on the occasion of World Child Protection Day.
The Syrian pavilion included dishes of Syrian food, and traditional clothing, handicrafrs. It also offered gifts for participants in the charity lottery that accompanied the festival, the proceeds of which will be allocated to help orphaned and disabled children in Belarus.
The wife of the Belarusian Foreign Minister also visited the pavilion, where she expressed her admiration over the exhibits. In her conversation with the Syrian Ambassador Muhammad Al-Omrani, she expressed her thanks to the Syrian embassy for its presence and constant participation in all the events and activities that are organized in Belarus.
In addition to this charitable event, the Syrian embassy also participated in the traditional charitable event called for by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of World Child Protection Day, where the embassy presented gifts to schools for children with special needs, and to orphanages and disabled children in Belarus.
