“Israel” has detained 80 journalists since the start of its aggression on Gaza Strip last October

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club has confirmed that the occupation authorities have escalated the policy of detaining journalists, in addition to field attacks, detentions and continuous prosecution, in the light of the continuing Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip.
The Prisoners’ Club said in a statement on Sunday : “Since the beginning of the aggression against the Gaza Strip on the 7th of last October, cases of detentions among Palestinian journalists have reached about 80 journalists, including 4 female journalists” .
The statement pointed out that the detained journalists face all retaliatory and punitive measures , in addition to torture, starvation and systematic medical negligance, as well as continued policies of deprivation amid harsh and humiliating detention conditions.
The Prisoner’s Club called on all international human rights institutions, led by the United Nations, to take  their responsibilities towards the crimes committed by the occupation against prisoners and detainees and to put an end to the terrifying state of helplessness that has dominated the positions of the international human rights system in the face of the occupation’s crimes which has continued for decades.
