Lavrov: The West uses Kiev regime as a tool in the war against Russia

MOSCOW, JUN.1, (ST)-The Kiev regime suits the United States and the West as an instrument in their fight against Russia, so they forgive Ukraine much, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with a federal project, TASS reports.

“Hypocrisy and connivance with their acolytes (the Kiev regime – TASS), forgiving them much, including these blatant actions to introduce the Nazi ideology in theory and practice, have become common only because these people suit the West and the United States as a tool in their fight against the Russian Federation,” Lavrov said.

He pointed out that the restrictions imposed on the use of the Russian language in Ukraine did not receive any reaction in the West, although Russia has repeatedly called for investigations into this ban in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Council of Europe, and the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, explaining that “These organizations only conduct investigations if it concerns allegations against Russia.”

Lavrov stressed that “senior Ukrainian officials often use offensive labels for Russians in their statements, and claim that there should not be anything Russian, neither in Kharkov nor in Nikolaev… They confirm that they will continue to pass laws that will eliminate everything Russian legislatively.” And if necessary, they will do so physically,” stressing that this “represents pure racism and Nazism.”
