Syrian Arab army defeats terrorists from more strategic sites in Yabroud area— Two terrorist blasts kill 17 civilians in Homs and Hama

PROVINCES,(ST)_Strategic sites outside Yabroud city in Damascus countryside and to the south of al-Zara town in Homs countryside have become under the army units’ full control after an intense fighting there.

A military source declared today that the army units imposed full control over Rima town and its farms as well as al-Qatari hill to the north of Yabroud city in al-Qalamon area outside Damascus in the wake of eliminating the last remaining terrorists.

The fresh gain comes few days after the army units took control over al-Sahl town- to the north of Yabroud city- and the strategic al-Kwaiti hill. It will lead to tighten grip on the terrorists’ major stronghold in al-Qalamon area, i.e. Yabroud city.

Almost 43 terrorists killed

The official news agency quoted the military source as citing that 6 weapons-laden cars were destroyed and at least 43 terrorists were killed in a qualitative operation against terrorist groupings in al-Rihan and Adra al-Balad areas outside Damascus.

It added that other 53 terrorists were wounded in the operation.

Army gains ground

Another progress was made by the army units outside Homs province where several strategic posts, located to the south of al-Zara town, were recaptured by the army.

Two days ago, the army units imposed control over hills of Allosh, Jalaleh and al-Deb which are adjacent to al-Zara town.

Dozens of terrorists, including ringleaders, were reportedly eliminated in al-Zara town and outside Talbeseh city in Homs province as the army units targeted hideouts and groupings for terrorists there.

The army units, in addition, wiped out terrorist groupings and hideouts in several contested areas outside Daraa province and in the northern Aleppo province.

In another development, it was said that a weapons-loaded car for terrorists was exploded by an explosive device in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour province as a result of dispute among terrorists over sharing weapons.

Two deadly explosions

While in Hama and Homs provinces, the foreign-backed terrorists exploded two car bombs killing at least 17 civilians and leaving more than 50 others wounded.

The first explosion took place at the southern entry of Hama city causing martyrdom of 4 civilians and leaving some 22 others wounded.

And the second happened in a busy shopping street in al-Arman quarter in Homs city where at least 13 civilians, including women and children, were martyred and 30 others wounded.

Other 5 civilians were wounded when two shells-fired by terrorists- hit Abo Remmaneh, quarter in the capital [Damascus].

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
