Mansour: The occupation is still challenging the world by continuing the crime of genocide in Gaza Strip

The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, called for the need to intensify efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip immediately, stressing that the Israeli occupation still defies the world and continues to commit the crime of genocide despite the International Court of Justice issuing three binding orders that include temporary measures to stop the killing of Palestinians.

During the tenth session of the Arab-Chinese ministerial meeting, which was held in the capital, Beijing, Mansour said: “Israel” insists on destruction, killing, siege, forced displacement, colonization, seizure of Palestinian lands, and violation of sanctities within the framework of plans and practices that are contrary to international law and the United Nations Charter and resolutions, in order to prevent the establishment of a viable and independent Palestinian state, which imposes the necessity of confronting these destructive policies and holding the occupying entity accountable for its crimes.

Mansour stressed the need to bring humanitarian aid into the stricken Gaza Strip sufficiently, permanently and immediately without any obstacles and to support the efforts of the United Nations, specifically UNRWA, and to open all crossings, especially the Rafah crossing.

He stressed that “Israel” continues its crimes in violation of international law and international humanitarian law and furthermore in violation to all international laws and norms, calling for stopping these massacres.

Mansour warned of the ongoing occupation attacks on the city of Rafah, which further exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, pointing out that the State of Palestine will spare no effort in the political and legal struggle to achieve justice, freedom and dignity for the Palestinian people, including through international courts to prevent criminals from escaping punishment.

Mansour pointed out that the membership of the State of Palestine in the United Nations is not a symbolic matter, but rather a matter of utmost importance for the Palestinians and the peoples of the region, and it is a necessary step that has been awaited since 1948 for the return of faith in international legitimacy and international law.
