President Assad visits Tehran and offers condolences to Sayyed Khamenei and Acting President Mokhber on the martyrdom of Raisi and Abdollahian

President Bashar al-Assad visited Tehran and offered his condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Mr. Ali Khamenei, on the martyrdom of President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
President al-Assad affirmed that President Raisi had in his mind and conscience the interest of the friendly Iranian people and also held in his heart a high position for Syria and its people, continuing the firm approach that brings together the two friendly countries and peoples.
During his meeting with Mr. Khamenei, President Al-Assad said: Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian led active diplomacy between Iran and Syria and had an imprint in establishing stability in the region.
President al-Assad stressed that this painful incident will not affect Iran’s approach and support for the resistance and its support for the Palestinian people, and that the relations between Syria and Iran are strong and established to serve the peoples of the two countries as well as the stability of the entire region.
In turn, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution thanked President al-Assad for his visit to Tehran to offer his condolences to the Iranian people.
Khamenei said: The late President Ibrahim Raisi played a prominent role in strengthening relations between Tehran and Damascus, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian also had a special interest and role in this field.
President al-Assad also met in Tehran with President-designate Muhammad Mokhber, and offered him condolences on the martyrdom of President Ibrahim Raisi and Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, stressing great confidence in the ability of Iran’s leadership and people to overcome this painful incident and continue its position and role at the regional and international levels.
Presidents al-Assad and Mokhber stressed the depth of the strategic relationship between Syria and Iran, and that this relationship is based on principles of dignity, sovereignty, and respect for the common interests of countries and peoples, and they stressed continuing to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic ones.
