Culture Minister holds talks in Saudi Arabia on enhancing Syrian-Saudi cultural cooperation

Minister of Culture Labana Mushaweh has visited Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud. She held talks with the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Culture and other officials concerned in popular heritage, plastic arts, and museums.

The talks dealt with prospects of cultural cooperation between Syria and Saudi Arabia in the field of restoring artifacts and archeological monuments, developing museum display, supporting heritage crafts and industries and preserving intangible heritage. They also dealt with joint files to inscribe the elements of intangible heritage on the lists of human heritage.

Minister Mushaweh and the accompanying delegation visited the the 2nd Al-Dir’iyah Biennial Exhibition for Contemporary Art, in which artists from different countries of the world participated.
