Syria participated in the annual meetings of Arab financial bodies and institutions and the Arab Monetary Fund for the year 2024, which began its work on Tuesday in the New Administrative Capital in Egypt, with the participation of the heads of Arab financial bodies and institutions and the governors and deputy governors of the Arab countries in those institutions.
The Syrian delegation participating in the annual Arab meetings is headed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Kenan Yaghi, with the participation of the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria Muhammad Issam Hazema and the membership of representatives from the Ministries of Finance and Economy and Foreign Trade.
These meetings constitute a unified platform for Arab financial institutions to discuss the most prominent financial, economic and development issues and topics at the regional level. During the meetings, the steps taken to support development in the Arab world are evaluated, future plans and development challenges are discussed, and regional partnerships between Arab economies are strengthened.
At the conclusion of these meetings, the Minister of Finance participated in the 15th regular session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers, where the most important regional and international economic developments and challenges facing the economies of Arab countries were reviewed.
