Sabbagh meets with Algerian Ambassador, confirms the deep-rooted Syrian Algerian relations

Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, during his meeting yesterday with the Algerian Ambassador to Damascus, Kamal Bouchama, affirmed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries, especially the political and parliamentary ones.

He indicated that Algeria represents a symbol of revolution and liberation from colonialism and it resides in the conscience of all Syrians.

Sabbagh expressed his hope that the bilateral relations between the two countries would witness more meetings, development of visions, cooperation, and coordination of positions in the international forums. He pointed to many common ties and characteristics that link Syria and Algeria as well as the honorable international positions of both brotherly countries.

During the meeting, Sabbagh talked about the crimes and violations that the Zionist enemy continues to commit against the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip in full view of the entire world.

He pointed out that these crimes represent an extension of the massacres that the Zionist entity has been committing for decades.

For his part, the Algerian ambassador stressed the importance of intensifying joint cooperation to develop Algerian-Syrian relations, especially parliamentary ones, calling for strengthening joint Arab action, standing up to unilateral coercive sanctions, and breaking the siege imposed on Syria.

Ambassador Bouchama praised the steadfastness of the Syrian people, their faith, and their determination to returning life to normal. He expressed  his wishes for the return of goodness, growth, and prosperity to all parts of Syria.
