Iraq, Palestine and Hezbollah offer condolences on the martyrdom of the President Raisi and his companions

Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani expressed his sincere condolences to the Iranian government and its people on the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions.

Al-Sudani added: As we extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, and to the Iranian government and people, we express our solidarity with the brotherly Iranian people and with the officials of the Islamic Republic in this painful tragedy.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas offered his deepest condolences to the Iranian government and people on the martyrdom of the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions. He affirmed the solidarity of the State of Palestine and its people with the Iranian leadership and people in this great affliction.

In a related context, Hezbollah expressed its condolences and sympathy to the Iranian government and people on the martyrdom of the President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province yesterday.

Hezbollah said in a statement today: “We offer our condolences to Imam Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to the officials of the Islamic Republic, and to the patient and dear Iranian people, especially to their families, as well as to the Muslims and free people of the world.”

The statement said: “We have known the martyr president closely for a long time. He was a big brother to us, a strong supporter, and a staunch defender of our issues and the issues of the nation, first and foremost Al Quds and Palestine”.
