India, Pakistan , Venezuela and Russia  offer their condolences to the Iranian government on the martyrdom of President Raisi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the Iranian government and its people over the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province yesterday.

“I am deeply saddened  and shocked by the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi. His contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between India and Iran will always be remembered.” Modi expressed on the X platform

In turn, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his sincere condolences to Iran.

“The great Iranian nation will overcome this tragedy with its usual courage” Sharif said on the x-platform.

Pakistan has declared a day of mourning and the flag will be flown at half-mast out of respect for the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation.

Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said in a condolence message to the Iranian government: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi. We have lost an exceptional leader in the world,”.

He added “President Raisi will always remain a unique and prominent defender of the sovereignty of his country and  people.”

In the same context, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his condolences to the Iranian people on the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and their accompanying delegation.

Lavrov said in a message of condolences to the Iranian government: “We feel shocked  by the news of the tragic martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and their companions as a result of the helicopter crash.”

Lavrov added: “We will always remember these prominent political figures as true patriots of the Islamic Republic who resolutely defended their country’s interests and sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation.”

“In Russia, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian were known as true and reliable friends of our country. Their role in strengthening mutually beneficial Russian-Iranian cooperation and trust-based partnership is priceless.”Lavrov stressed.
