Slovak tourist group: Art, Beauty and History Embodied in the Monuments of Bosra al-Sham

A tourist group from Slovakia visited the archaeological city of Bosra al-Sham in Daraa in order to get  acquainted with its historical features.

Lawyer Radko Suchar stated to SANA that the aesthetics of the archaeological structures stem from the inscriptions and drawings with which they were decorated, which is evidence of the enormous progress of those civilizations in times when we thought they were living in indescribable backwardness and slavery, pointing out that the artistic translation of many paintings is evidence of this.

The teacher Susana Perova emphasized that standing in front of the mosaic at the entrance to the castle or the one in the museum square indicates the complete coordination and organization of trade and life in that historical era.

Rudolf Casey, a fine arts teacher, said: Art, beauty and civilization are the Great Trinity of holiness for the East in general and for Syria in particular, I wish this country continued stability and love it because it is a destination for tourist caravans. I felt indescribable happiness as I wandered among the Basalt buildings with a unique geometric character.”
