Syria’s Specialized Exhibitions Kick off with the participation of 120 companies

Last night The Syrian Specialized Exhibitions, organized by Tayara Foundation for International Exhibitions and Conferences, with the support of the Ministries of Public Works, Housing, Electricity and Industry, were launched on the grounds of the New Exhibition City in Damascus.

The five-day various exhibitions include about 120 local, Arab and foreign companies, representing the Syrian International Exhibition for Construction and Infrastructure, the Exhibition of Energy, Electricity and Industrial Automation, and the Syrian International Industrial Exhibition.

In a statement to the media, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif, pointed to the diversity of the exhibition in terms of materials and products provided by the participating pavilions, the remarkable development and the increase in local industries, which is required for the next stage in Syria.” It is noted that there are various building materials produced locally after they were imported, which contributes in the future to the provision of foreign exchange and labor employment,” the minister added.

The Minister of Electricity, Eng. Ghassan al-Zamil, explained that the exhibition displays many important products and various advanced technologies in the field of industrial automation and renewable energies.

He noted that what is most striking about the exhibition is the important projects for students of universities, institutes and technologies, which are the basis for the development of the energy sector and the industrial automation sector, as well as the distinction of the exhibition with ideas put forward and implemented on the ground. “

The Minister of Industry, Dr. Abdulkader Jokhdar, noted that the multiple participation in the industrial exhibition will be reflected from the Arab, friendly and various local countries representing the public and private sectors, with the participation of a new type of production, which is the manufacture of machines and production lines for the food and chemical industries, to which the added value is more than 70% over previous years, indicating that all production lines are manufactured locally except for imported advanced technology and the presence of electronic industries with national expertise.

The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Mohammad Tariq Krishati, explained that the exhibition allows industrialists to provide broader options for developing the capabilities of their facilities or establishing new ones. It also contributes to attracting stakeholders in the reconstruction process and seeks to encourage and stimulate national companies from the public and private sectors to employ their capital and investments in reconstruction.

The Director-General of the Organizing Foundation for Exhibitions Mouafak Tayara, pointed out that the importance of these exhibitions comes in terms of the various products they contain that serve the national economy and work to develop the speed of production in the context of Syria’s economic conditions.

A series of seminars and scientific lectures specialized in the fields of reconstruction and its services by specialists and academics in the field of construction and real estate development will be held on the sideline of the exhibition.
