Russia and China renew their support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

Russia and China reaffirmed their support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In this respect, Russia and China emphasized their contribution to moving forward the process of political solution of the crisis.

A joint statement has been issued today following talks held by the two heads of state, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. The joint statement has been published on the Kremlin’s website which said: “Russia and China support the sovereignty,

independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and contribute to advancing the political settlement process led and implemented by the citizens of this country themselves.”

The statement noted that Moscow and Beijing are considered independent centers of the emerging multipolar world, and each will make full use of the potential of bilateral relations, in order to democratize international relations and strengthen efforts to build a just and rational multipolar world order.

The statement pointed out that Washington places the security of the narrow groups, the US leads and allies with, above regional security. The statement called on the United States to abandon this behavior that raises problems and destabilizes the world order.
