With the participation of President Bashar Al-Assad, the thirty-third session of the Arab League Council meeting was launched at the summit level in Manama.

It is noteworthy that President Al-Assad will not deliver a speech during the summit, which discusses a number of issues regarding which the President had set clear positions on  various Arab issues, including Arabism, the Palestinian issue, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and reform of the Arab League.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, handed over the presidency of the 33rd  Arab Summit to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King  of Bahrain.
