Spring Carnival  and Bazaar at the Pakistan International School in Damascus

The Pakistan International school in cooperation with the Pakistani embassy in Damascus organized a Spring Carnival and Bazaar at the Pakistani school in Yafour  area in the Damascus countryside.

 A number of Embassies, Diplomatic missions, many local companies, restaurants , craftsmen participated in the event displaying  their diverse products as cloths, handmade candles, soaps, accessories, sweets, food, juices, bags, crochet, pens, toys, ice-cream   and other products.

On the sideline of the bazaar, exciting dance and music performances took place , including exquisite traditional Circassian dance.  The Circassia Association of Syria band performed dances from the Caucasian heritage.

His Excellency, the Indonesian Ambassador Wajid Fawzi, told Syria Times: “I came to attend this wonderfully organized bazaar by  the Pakistan International School of Damascus.The varied   participants  pose great    benefits for the students, for the school , for the international community and for the Syrian people”.

Mr.Thapezo Tonyane, , in the South African Embassy in Syria said: “Our aim from this participation is to promote South Africa to other countries and other foreign people”.

“The most important point is that South Africa is one of the countries in Africa and the world that has tourist destinations .What we say to the people is to come and enjoy the beauty of our country, so that you can also tell other people to come and visit us” he added.

 His Excellency Muhammad Ali,  the ambassador of Abkhazia in Syria, said that the spring carnival gives us a beautiful image.

“We saw three things: the culture of the participating embassies. Each embassy presented something of its culture, pictures and information.

“We saw the participating Syrian companies and people participating with handicrafts. We were surprised by the design and quality” he added.

“Also there is an  atmosphere of fun and congeniality and in Syria this is common. .The people of Syria  are good and deserve fun and happiness” he said.

 Nisreen is one of the participants,  displaying crochet toys, accessories handmade. She participated in the bazaar to display and market her products .
