Cooperation Agreement Between Syria Trust for Development and  Emirates Red Crescent in Humanitarian Field

Damascus- (ST)- The Syria Trust for Development and the Emirates Red Crescent signed a cooperation agreement in the humanitarian field for a period of five years, with the aim of empowering local communities in Syria that were affected by the repercussions of the long years of war and the earthquake of February 6.

The Syrian Secretariat for Development explained on its Facebook page that under the agreement, areas of joint work and cooperation will be deepened, starting with ensuring a safe life for families that were damaged and lost their homes through housing rehabilitation projects, leading to a better living reality and equal opportunities for families and individuals in cities and rural areas throughout the Syrian geography.

The secretariat pointed out that the agreement will contribute to the optimal investment of natural resources to support the improvement of agricultural production and the reality of farmers through projects and initiatives concerned with preserving the environment, turning to renewable energy sources, and ensuring access to clean water for all, in addition to paying attention to public health by enhancing health equipment, and empowering women with professional and entrepreneurial projects that achieve independence and provide them with sustainable sources of income.

The Syria Trust for Development invests in its long partnership with the people of local communities, harnesses its capabilities and programs, and distributes its teams in the governorates to implement projects and plans and achieve sustainable development goals in accordance with the community development methodology to reach stronger local communities and the ability to face challenges and achieve early recovery.
