Opening of the “Golan” hall to sell products of vocational and public schools affiliated with Quneitra Education Directorate

The Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad Amer Al-Mardini, opened the “Golan” hall for selling products of vocational and public schools affiliated with the Quneitra Education Directorate, in Masaken Barzeh in Damascus.

The hall includes handicrafts, crochet, woolen items, embroideries, clothing, fine art paintings, as well as wooden and metal manufacturing models produced by students of vocational and technical education schools in Quneitra Governorate.
The Minister of Education pointed out in a statement to reporters the importance of opening such halls to display students’ products and highlight their talents and skills in the fields of vocational education and marketing them to encourage the students to work and benefit from Law 38 to increase their production and projects.

Minister Al-Mardini stressed the need to support students and encourage them to develop their skills through these halls, indicating the importance of developing this sector and providing the necessary infrastructure in order to achieve the aspired goals.

In turn, the Governor of Quneitra, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, explained that the opening of the hall is considered a foundation stone for the launch of small and micro projects with qualified scientific educational cadres, pointing out the importance of carefully monitoring markets to encourage students to innovate and manufacture products that meet their needs and the necessity of continuing work between the public and private sectors to enhance employment opportunities and stimulating innovation for these students.
Director of Quneitra Education, Abdo Zaitoun, stated that the hall is the first in Quneitra Education which is dedicated to selling vocational education products, and aims to encourage students and teachers to work according to Law No. 38 on vocational education, which will benefit them financially, as the students’ share reaches 20 percent of the value of each sold product. Zaitoun indicated that the products offered are produced by vocational students in 7 schools in addition to students of technical institutes.
The secretary of the hall, Hend Khadija, explained that the hall includes sewing, embroidery, drawing, and industrial school products, such as desks, wooden tables, chairs, iron doors, and other products.
