Protests by employees of European Union institutions denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza strip

More than 100,000 employees in the European Union institutions in the Belgian capital Brussels organized protests denouncing the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Reuters reported that the protesters placed rolled-up white cloth covers stained with red spots representing corpses in the square opposite of the main office of the European Commission in Brussels and wrote on them: international law, European Union agreements, and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in protest against the brutal practices of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

Pressure is increasing on the European Union to take a stronger stance regarding the brutal crimes of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles, had previously stated that the policy of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, threatens the security and interests of the European Union in the world due to her blind bias towards the Israeli occupation entity. He stressed that the Union’s foreign policy is determined by the member states and not the President of the Commission.
