President Al-Assad chairs the meeting of the New Central Leadership of the Baath Party

President Bashar Al-Assad, Secretary-General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, on Wednesday met with the newly-elected members of the Party’s Central Leadership.

Discussions focused on the party’s priorities in the coming stage.

President Al-Assad affirmed that the Baath Party is an institution, not individuals, noting that priority should be given to setting policies and strategies.

He stressed the importance of dialogue to enhance the party’s presence in the society’s intellectual and cultural movement.

The party’s recent electoral experience was evaluated during the meeting.
