Rouhani: Iranian armed forces totally depend on their own capabilities
President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday that the Iranian armed forces under wise leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution rely on their own capabilities to build up defense power, IRNA reported.
President Rouhani made the remarks while visiting Jamaran destroyer on southern Iranian territorial waters.
President Rouhani told reporters that Iranian military power are aiming to safeguard and protect the Arab Gulf and the Oman Sea and seize the opportunity to send the message of peace and friendship to all neighboring states.
The Iranian army along with Islamic Revolution Guards Corps are responsible to protect the Iranian territorial waters, said the president.
He said that Iranian armed forces are of defensive nature and thwart the attempts of the all ill-wishers on the Iranian territory.
The president called for maintenance of the power balance as the guarantee to prevent conflict.
Our message to all neighbors as well as countries in the South is friendship and peace, underlined the president.
