Syrian Arab Army Delivers Terrorists Heavy Blows— Terrorists Detonate Booby-trap Near French Hospital, Fire Shells on Urban Areas
PROVINCES,(ST)_The last 27 days have witnessed remarkable developments in the ongoing war against terrorism nationwide.
The army units have made progress in fighting foreign-backed terrorist groups outside Damascus and in Aleppo, Der Ezzour and Quneitra province and recaptured several areas there after eliminating the last remaining terrorists there.
The army imposed full control over the following areas; al-Jarajer town in Yabroud area outside Damascus, quarter of Karm al-Tarab, al-Sheikh Najjar and al-Ghali hill in Aleppo province, Maan town in Hama , the strategic al-Yarzan hill and farms of Rasm al-Hor and Rasm al-Sad in Quneitra province, and al-Mrii’yeh farms in Deir Ezzour.
The army units, in addition, warded off several attacks on Aleppo central prison and ambushed terrorists in many areas.
Hundreds of terrorists, mostly belonging to al-Nusra Front and Islamic Front, were eliminated in the military operations which were carried out in February, according to the daily reports released by the official news agency.
The agency said today that the army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in Damascus countryside and in the provinces of Aleppo, Homs and Daraa.
Reconciliation
The army’s achievements on the ground coincided with national reconciliations in areas of Babbila, Yalda, Beit Sahm and Aqraba outside Damascus and the evacuation of civilians from the old city of Homs as well as settlement of situations of hundreds of misled young men across the country.
Escalation
On the other hand, the terrorist groups escalated their criminal acts against civilians through perpetrating massacres in al-Gheda town outside Homs and in al-Dwayeh town outside Quneitra province, exploding motorcycle bomb in Hama province, firing daily shells on urban areas in Damascus and its countryside and on Aleppo and Homs provinces.
Dozens of civilians were reportedly martyred by the terrorist acts nationwide.
Terrorists kill 6 civilians, wound 41
Today, at least 5 civilians were martyred and 15 others wounded when missiles -fired by terrorists- hit quarters of Ekrema and Wadi al-Dahab in central Homs province.
Other 20 civilians were wounded and a child was martyred by detonation on an explosive device near the French Hospital in al-Qassa’a quarter in the capital [Damascus].
A police command source declared that the explosive device was planted by terrorists near the main entrance of the hospital.
The source added that the police and al-Beroni hospitals in Harasta area outside Damascus were also hit by shells wounding 6 civilians.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.
The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
