Democratic lawmakers: “Israel” has violated American law

New York, (ST) – Lawmakers from the US Democratic Party affirmed in a letter addressed to US President Joe Biden that there is sufficient evidence proving that “Israel” violated US law by restricting the flow of humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to Reuters, the lawmakers pointed out in the letter, signed by 86 Democratic members of the US House of Representatives, the restrictions imposed by “Israel” on aid, and its failure to respond to repeated demands to open enough sea and land routes to deliver aid to the residents of Gaza Strip.

The lawmakers clarified that there were reports that “Israel” did not allow enough food to enter to avoid famine, and imposed arbitrary regulations and restrictions on aid, which hindered supplies. They called on their country’s administration to take all possible steps to prevent further humanitarian disasters in Gaza.

In a related context, Cindy McCain, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program affirmed in statements to the American NBC News network that there is now a comprehensive famine in northern Gaza. She expressed her hope that a ceasefire will be reached so that more aid can be delivered more quickly and without restrictions.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health yesterday, the number of victims of the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October rose to 34,622 martyrs and 77,868 wounded.
