UNRWA: 37 children in Gaza lose their mothers every day

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that 37 children lose their mothers every day due to the continued Israeli aggression on the Strip

“The war in Gaza is still a war against women, with more than 10 thousand women killed and 19 thousand injured, and 37 children losing their mothers every day,” the agency said in its account on the X platform today.

“Conditions in the sector are appalling, with more than 155 thousand pregnant or breastfeeding women facing extreme difficulty in accessing water and sanitary ware,” the agency added.

UNRWA pointed out that access to even basic materials is a major challenge in Gaza and there is a great need for more supplies to effectively counter the devastating effects of aggression and blockade.

Israeli occupying forces continued their aggression against the Strip for the 210th day, killing 34,622 Palestinians and injuring 77,867 others.
