Pro-Palestine Students picket in front of the largest university in Mexico

Hundreds of students and activists supporting the Palestinian people and demanding an end to the Israeli aggression against them have carried out a sit-in in front of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, the largest university in the country.

AFP reported that the students placed Palestinian flags over their protest camp in front of the University, and demanded an immediate end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, lifting the blockade and allowing humanitarian aid to enter it.

The students chanted slogans including “Long live Free Palestine” and” From the River to the Sea, Palestine will win”. They also demanded that the Mexican government sever diplomatic and trade relations with the Israeli occupation entity.

“We are here to support Palestine and its people and to support the student protest movement in the United States,” said one of the students, expressing hope that this protest camp will encourage other universities in the country.

Dozens of American universities have witnessed student protests and sit-ins in recent days, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting the Zionist massacres against them, and resulted in the arrest of 2,200 students to date.
