Prisoners’ Institutions: Thousands of Palestinian workers suffered from the crimes of the occupation

Palestinian prisoner institutions confirmed that thousands of Palestinian workers have been subjected, since October 7, to attacks, detentions, systematic torture, and forced disappearance by the Israeli occupation, as part of the genocidal war it continues to commit in the stricken Gaza Strip.

The institutions indicated in a statement, reported by Wafa Agency, that the physical and psychological abuse and torture practiced by the occupation against prisoners in its detention centers led to the martyrdom of 3 workers out of 16 prisoners who were martyred since the beginning of its aggression against Gaza.

The institutions called on the international community and all international human rights and humanitarian organizations to open an independent international investigation in the light of the continued escalation of massacres and genocidal war against the people of Gaza Strip. The institutions also stressed the need to stop crimes against prisoners and hold criminals accountable urgently.
