Occupied Al- Quds, (ST) – The most prominent developments in Operation (Al-Aqsa Flood) launched by the Palestinian resistance on October 7th in response to the Israeli occupation’s attacks:

– The Palestinian Ministry of Health: The number of victims of the ongoing occupation aggression on Gaza Strip for the 207th day has risen to 34,535 martyrs and 77,704 wounded.

American police arrest dozens of pro-Palestinian demonstrators at the University of Texas

In Washington, the American police arrested dozens of demonstrators in support of the Palestinian people at the University of Texas in Austin, and forcibly dismantled their camp, as widespread protests continued at American universities denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.

AP quoted Paul Quincy, a lawyer for people arrested in Austin, as saying that the number of arrests reached more than eighty cases, noting that the arrests “are still continuing.”

The American police used pepper spray against the demonstrators, while Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatened the demonstrators with arrest if they set up new tents on the university campus. He said in a post on the X platform: “Camps will not be allowed to be established, and instead arrests will be made.”

Over the weekend, about a hundred people were arrested at a university campus in Boston, and the demonstrators’ camp there was dismantled. Eighty others were arrested at a college in Missouri, 72 at a university campus in Arizona, and 23 others at Indiana University.

In this context, American media reports stated that President Joe Biden risks losing significant support among young voters amid pro-Palestinian protests at American universities.

Newsweek magazine reported that Biden is facing a violent and dangerous reaction from young voters because of Washington’s support for the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, noting that young voters represented a major group in support of the Democratic Party, as nearly 50 percent of voters aged between 18 and 29 years in favor of Biden in the 2020 presidential elections.
