Syrian Arab Army Strikes Terrorist Groupings in Daraa, Aleppo and Damascus Countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_ Several flashpoint areas in Aleppo, Daraa, Idleb and Damascus countryside provinces have witnessed strikes against foreign-backed terrorist groupings.

The strikes ended in killing dozens of terrorists and destroying a large chunk of weapons and munitions.

The official news agency reported on Tuesday that the army units eliminated armed terrorist groups in quarters of Bani Zed, al-Sheikh Kheder, Hanano, al-Rashedin, al-Sekkari and Bestan al-Qasr in the city of Aleppo.

It quoted a military source as saying that many terrorists were killed and injured as they were trying to sneak into al-Sheikh Said quarter and Syriatel area. 

The source added that several hideouts and weapons-loaded cars for terrorists were wiped out in the industrial city, free zone and to the north of Aleppo central prison as well as in towns of Hritan, al’aweja, al-Madajen, Assan farms, Hilan and al-Meselmeyeh in the same province [Aleppo].

At least 40 terrorists killed

Around 69km to the south-west of Aleppo province, precisely in Idleb province, at least 20 terrorists perished as the army units obliterated a hideout for armed terrorist groups near al-Nirab town. 

The army units killed other 20 terrorists and destroyed around 7 cars equipped with heavy machineguns and antiaircraft gun in al-Kharabat area.

More terrorists were crushed in the surrounding of the technical institute in Daraa al-Balad and on the Romani road, according to a military source.

The source noted that an army unit warded off terrorists’ attack on a garrison in the southern countryside, killing many terrorists.

A Jordanian terrorist from al-Nusra Front was among those who were killed there.

Another terrorist of Jordanian nationality died in Adra al-Balad area outside Damascus when an army unit eliminated several members of an armed terrorist group that tried to infiltrate into mills building and sewage network.

Meanwhile, the army units targeted several terrorist groupings and their weapons in Darayya, Khan al-Sheih, Erbin, al-Mliha, Alya farms, Harasta, Rima farms and on the outskirts of al-Mesherfeh town and Yabroud city in Damascus countryside.

An unknown number of terrorists were killed there.

Terrorist snipers target citizens

On the other hand, at least 2 citizens were wounded in terrorist attacks which took place in Harasta area outside Damascus and in al-Zablatani area in the capital [Damascus].

The two citizens were wounded when terrorist snipers targeted two buses and cars near water resources building on Harasta highway.

The second terrorist attack happened in al-Zablatani area when a shell hit ‘al-Hal’ market in the said area causing damages to shops without casualties.The shell was fired by terrorists.

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
