Syria, WFP discuss cooperation and support for early recovery projects
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Monday met with the Regional Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) for the Middle East and North Africa Corinne Fleischer.
The two sides discussed cooperation between Syria and the WFP and the projects that the programme supports, including supporting children and mothers and early recovery, which would contribute to strengthening the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the repercussions of the earthquake and climate changes.
The two sides also discussed developments related to the program’s future plans, in a way that suits the priorities and needs of Syrians, and in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian government and the program’s partners in Syria.
